Randy Carroll is a Country radio Hall Of Famer who has been at KJ97 for 34 years. Most of that time has been spent hosting his popular morning drive show. He’s received multiple CMA and ACM broadcast award nominations with a CMA win in 2012 and an ACM win in 2016.

Jarred “JT” Taylor, is President at Article 15 Clothing and Vice President at Black Rifle Coffee Company and Air Force TACP in the Air National Guard.

Boots Birds and Birdies

Poteet, Texas – The 3rd Annual Boots Birds & Birdies event returns to South Texas benefitting our brave military men and women! Boots Birds & Birdies 2017 kicks off with a Friday night Military Appreciation Party with live entertainment and special guests Mat Best, JT, Randy Carroll, and many more great veterans! Saturday’s events will begin at 1:00 with the Redneck Games located on the grounds of Strawberry Pines.This hilarious afternoon of shooting fun requires no athletic ability but lots of laughs. Teams will compete for a coveted Redneck Champion title and the Morgan Luttrell Trophy, and events include shooting eggs off beer cans with BB guns, shooting toilet paper from outhouses, shooting beer cans at various unpatriotic celebrity poster targets, archery shooting at toilet seat targets, hatchet throwing and much more! You are in for a great afternoon of fun with fellow patriots. Saturday evening will be an awesome and entertaining “Hero Dinner” with military hero speakers, an auction and live music. Our special guests Randy Carroll, many Boot Campaign Veteran Ambassadors, veteran recipients of our ReBOOT program, and more special guests will be at this wonderful evening event.

*Proceeds from Boots Birds & Birdies benefit Boot Campaign, a national 501©3 / a national military nonprofit dedicated to promoting patriotism for America and our military community, raising awareness of the unique challenges that service members face during and post-service and providing assistance for military families of all generations.

Admission is FREE to all veterans and active duty service members. No advance purchase needed – just show up ready to have a great time!

Redneck Games: Saturday, April 7th, 2018 / Teams Check In 1:00pm, Games Start @ 2:00pm

Tickets must be purchased ahead of time with teams of 4 at $1,000, and we will also provide a Boot Campaign Veteran Ambassador to participate with each team. Space is limited to 24 teams. Special car permits required for entrance. Come out and have a blast with fellow patriots at BBB’s Redneck Games!

Hero Dinner & Live Auction: Saturday, April 7th, 2018 / 7:00pm – 11:00pm (Doors Open @ 6:00pm)

6:30pm – Hero Dinner located at Strawberry Pines beautiful wooded area, this evening is a very special opportunity at Boots Birds & Birdies. Our special guests Randy Carroll, many Boot Campaign Veteran Ambassadors, veteran recipients of our ReBOOT program, and more special guests will be at this wonderful evening event. Enjoy a steak dinner and open bar with your friends as you hear from our Featured Speaker and local ReBoot recipients. We will have a blast with a great crowd as well as learn more about the awesome ReBOOT program and military heroes’ opportunities to heal well. There will also be live and silent auctions and lots of opportunities to get to know fellow patriots as we enjoy live music later lasting until midnight.

Mat-BestMAT BEST:

Mat joined the army at age 17 immediately after high school. He directly entered the prestigious 75 th Army Ranger Regiment and was stationed in Fort Lewis, WA with Ranger Battalion. Serving 5 combat deployments in OIF and OEF with the 75th. After leaving the Army Mat went into executive protection in California and it was not long before he knew he had to get back into the fight.  After a phone call from a buddy Mat rejoined the fight with the CIA as a private contractor for an additional five plus years.

These days Mat has become the founder and CEO of Article 15, Black Rifle Coffee, Lead Slingers Whiskey, Matbest11x YouTube, and Drinking Bros pod cast. Mat has committed his time and resources to GIVE BACK to veterans and in service warrior’s. His success is an inspiration to not only Veterans but civilians and law enforcement as well. His biggest desire is to show Veterans that anything is possible as long as you approach life with a positive attitude and a will to persevere through hard work.
